The goal of this course is to educate people who work with children and young people about the importance of preparation, listening, and strategies that can be used when talking with children and young people. By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Recognise the importance of being prepared for conversation
- List the factors that affect good communication with a child or young person
- Explain active listening and the difference between empathy and sympathy
