Description
This course addresses the universal issues of unconscious bias and hidden privilege, which often influence decision-making processes, relationships, and overall interactions in personal and professional settings.
The course also includes an animation that deepens understanding of how colonisation has contributed to systemic disadvantage and inter-generational impacts experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
By situating bias within broader social and historical systems, the course strengthens learners’ awareness of equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice in contemporary settings.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Define unconscious bias and recognise how it influences behaviour and decision-making
- Explain the concept of hidden privilege within professional and organisational contexts
