RISE Casework Program Module 3: Identifying & Assessing Child & Family Needs

In this module, participants will develop a foundational understanding of Structured Decision Making (SDM) and its application in assessing child and family needs within the context of the Permanency Case Management Policy (PCMP). Participants will learn how to engage in meaningful, strength-based conversations with families, ensuring they understand the identified risks and concerns and areas for focus. This approach empowers families by highlighting their strengths and collaboratively targeting areas for growth, enabling case plans and casework to build on these strengths while addressing key areas identified during the assessment process.
