The RISE Casework program is a 12-month standalone introduction to the fundamentals of excellent practice in the Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) and Permanency Support Program (PSP) casework. Designed to build caseworkers’ knowledge, skills, and confidence, this program provides a solid foundation for effectively supporting children, young people, and families. This program emphasises practical learning and peer support, helping caseworkers navigate the complexities of their roles to provide high-quality and compassionate care to vulnerable populations.
Through 12 expertly crafted modules, participants will gain practical insights and tools to excel in their roles.
Each module is structured to include:
Lunch-and-Learn Webinar (1 hour): A concise, interactive introduction to the module’s key concepts, terminology, and objectives, providing a solid foundation for further learning.
Half-Day Training Session (3 hours): This session offers a deep dive into the module topic, with practical exercises and case studies.
Applied Learning Workshop (3 hours): These sessions focus on applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, helping participants refine their skills and address specific casework challenges.
End of Topic Online Interactive Quiz (1 hour): A comprehensive wrap-up activity designed to reinforce learning, assess understanding, and identify areas requiring additional support.
Participants will spend approximately 8 hours per topic module, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical application skills to better support children, young people, and families.
