Darren is a high performing and well-regarded leader known for a broad range of achievements. Specifically, for improving performance in large and complex businesses within the private and public sectors through financial, operations, legal and people initiatives while building high performing cultures for innovation. Darren has a strong background in financial management, risk management and audit and assurance.




After 12 years working in the private sector for large commercial companies primarily within the manufacturing, services and pharmaceutical sectors, Darren began a public-sector career at the federal Department of Finance.

Fourteen (14) years later, eight (8) of which was CFO of two material federal Departments, he left that sector to pursue a career in professional services consulting. As CFO of federal Departments, Darren was able to apply his skills working with Government, Industry and stakeholders to implement effective governance, allocate resources effectively and optimally and set cost recovery arrangements within a highly sensitive environment.

As part of his career, Darren reformed and transformed several organisations financial frameworks ensuring that his expertise in financial governance, budgeting and establishing accountable and transparent financial frameworks was transferred to the staff where he worked. Darren was recognised as public sector CFO of the year in 2012.
