Learning Outcomes: This module explores how caseworkers can provide safe, inclusive, and affirming support to children and young people who identify with LGBTQIA+ communities. Through reflection and practical discussion, the training unpacks identity, intersectionality, and the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ young people in systems of care. Participants will build their understanding of inclusive language, protective and risk factors, and how to engage respectfully with young people and their families. This session focuses on strengthening confidence, challenging bias, and ensuring that every child feels seen, respected, and supported to thrive in their identity.
